“Cat Cafes”

Perhaps because there are so many apartments and condominiums within Tokyo,”Cat Cafes” have become very popular.  As the title speaks to, there are cats and there is coffee, tea a snack service available.  I have now visited two very different “Cat Cafes”.  Each have their own flair.  They were twelve cats in the first Cafe and fifteen in the second Cafe.  I put a few pictures together so you can see them for yourself.

The second Cafe, the cats are all quite young, all but one is under a year old. The Cafe itself is very clever in construction and seems to be quite well thought out.

I have had cats in my life for as long as I can remember.  Coming here to stay in Japan, I knew that cats were not allowed in the building that our Condo is in, so the idea of a “Cat Cafe” appealed to me.  My friend, Yuko and I have visited the  Cafes and enjoyed the time spent observing them in their world.  It was a good way to spend a  relaxing and enjoyable morning.

Almost wish I could be a pampered feline in Japan!

The cats do get a lot of love and attention from guests that come to see them. And you, Gayle – you would make a very nice kitty indeed!!

I really like the design of the new café that you and Yuko found. Very upscale compared to the site that we visited. It looks a little like a Disney themed area. How fun!

I agree. Much more room to play and romp around and be silly. This cat family is young and they take full advantage of the space available. We will visit again one day.
