Starbucks reward

Up, breakfast and shower out of the way – I am ready to leave.  This is the big day. I take the bus to the station without help from Marci.  Sounds like no big deal to most of you, I…

Hachioji family

Call it vanity, ego, etc., I am not fond of pictures taken of  myself.  Akira and Marci on the other hand – look terrific!  But, I promised some of you that when the opportunity arose here in Japan, I would…

About Sharon

I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. I spent most of my life there raising a family, owning a business and being involved with the community.

Now a senior citizen, I live with my daughter, Michelle and her husband, George in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. Just before coming to Dearborn, I had the chance to live with my daughter, Marci and her husband, Akira for almost a year in Hachioji, Tokyo, Japan. I have a bonus daughter too, Mikaela who lives in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I am blessed to have these women as daughters and these men as sons-in-law, my teachers one and all.

I begin writing six years ago as a way to keep in touch with friends and family while I was living in Japan. This led to contributing to a book and now I am working on a memoir.
